Sunday School

Our children begin the service with their families, joining them for the Season of Praise portion of our worship. Following the Season of Praise, the children are escorted by their teachers to Olmsted Hall, where we gather as a group to greet, share, sing and pray with and for one another. At the conclusion of our group session, the children accompany their teachers to their various classrooms. Upon completion of their classroom activities, the children rejoin their families in the sanctuary for The Holy Communion. We welcome your family's participation in this vital ministry!

All of our children enjoy and eagerly participate in our parish traditions throughout the school year (September-June). Our classes are structured to meet the developmental needs of its members, and are divided into groups:

  • Ages 3-6 (Pre-kindergarden-1st grade) The David C. Cook Bible-in-Life curriculum is supplemented by arts and crafts, puppet shows, songs, games, puzzles, and readings.
  • Ages 7-10 (2nd-5th grade) Elementary Group members also participate in the Bible-in-Life curriculum, and learn to serve as acolytes.
  • Ages 11-14 (6th-9th grade) Youth Group members participate in an enjoyable variety of age-appropriate discussions and activities and serve as acolytes.

Jack and Jill School

The Jack and Jill School was founded in 1949 and continues to provide quality pre school education to the children of the parish and local community. The school reflects the various national and cultural backgrounds of the neighborhood. We celebrate each child's holidays as we learn to understand and appreciate one another. The classrooms provide age-appropriate, hands-on experiences with a commitment to the development of the whole child, instilling purposeful moral and ethical values.
